With great views from the top of the bus, strategically placed stops and an interesting commentary, this truly is the best way to see the sights of Edinburgh. You can hop-on and off as many times as you like aboard this open-top double-decker bus. There are 24 stops and the entire route takes approximately 60 minutes. The bus departs every 20 minutes from each stop. Tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use.

There was too much to see and do in Edinburgh to do a good one day trip. I upgraded My ticket so I could take any of the 3 bus lines. the blue line stopped in front of my B and B enjoyed Yacht Britannia and Hollyrood Palace

This was a great way to get a birdseye view of Edinburgh. I took it late afternoon (around twice), then spent the next day visiting all the sites. If you don't mind walking 2-3 miles, you can get to all the sites by walking. Very easy city to get around.
